That means I’m not just trying to be the man in your life

But change you from living single to endless days as a wife

Because life’s a fairy tale and I’m looking for a happy ending

How many people have ever found true love

The kind you feel is from the heavens above

I found true love and I let it slip away

That mistake haunts me to this very day

Her vibe was sweeter than amaretto

Shit, I fell head over heels for her

But I was too scared to ever let her know

Then one day we were laying in bed

She looked me in the eye and this is what she said

“You came my way and now life is filled with sunny days”

And I swore that I wouldn’t

As time went on, our love remained strong

Her heart sand my soul’s song

That made me write her a love poem

But eventually, I lost my lover and a friend

Because all good things come to an end

So here I stand, a single sexy man

Walking ‘round like I don’t give a damn

Plenty of women have come and gone

But to none I wanna hold on

Most prefer to ever to me as a whore

Because love don’t lie here anymore

Then again, I think I still love her

Thinking about how I love you makes me feel like Shakespeare

Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways

I love you like a tight verse loves a sick beat

I love you in pieces of my heart and soul that I didn’t know existed before

I love you in ways and for reasons I can’t fully express in words

And I’m a writer!

You run through my thoughts like they’re marathons

I love you on any day that ends with a Y

Loving you gives me wings but puts a pain in my heart

So I don’t know if I’m flying or dying

Maybe I’m doing a little but of both

Because without this love I feel like I’m heading for the grave

I love you like I love you, that’s all that should matter

There, I said it

But now that I said it, what do we do next?

How can I care for you so much yet know you so little

I wanna go all the way, will you meet me in the middle

How do we blend our two lives into just one

And continue to grow like a plant towards the sun

How d I say “I love you” without sounding obsessed

How do I say “I miss you” without sounding depressed

How can I not sound like a crazy bum

When I say I’ve had dreams of you having my son

How can the love we have stay on my mind

When we seem to fight all the time

How do I preserve us without sacrificing me

How can we stay together when you wanna be free

How doe this work, us fighting and loving

You wanting to leave, I want a bun in the oven

So how do we move on from here

Dear Future Wife,

Although I’m sure you’re more than aware of what I’m about to say, I felt I should put it in writing for you anyway

As a writer, nothing in my life is deemed out of bounds when it comes to material

So be prepared for the possibility of every aspect of our life together to be immortalized in print

I don’t do this to be messy or tell our business, but I draw inspiration from the things I love

I promise to never let the pressures of the outside world affect what goes on in our home

As long as we’re together, nothing else matters

You are my sanctuary

I promise to be your comforter, helping hand, bodyguard, best friend and psychiatrist for as long as we’re together

I vow that I’ll do everything in my power to ensure you and our children don’t want for anything

I haven’t figured out why yet, but I, um, kinda sorta like you

Like I’m way too old for my heart to be playing this foolish game

When I had awoke, she had taken off with my heart and left my soul wanting more

My body and soul, willing followers of her every whim

I call her my pied piper

But she doesn’t lead me to destruction

Our destination is filled seduction, eroticism, and love
